I am an Austin, Texas writer and editor with eleven years
of experience developing a variety of technical and non-technical
documents. I've written for audiences ranging from the highly
technical to the mostly clueless and covered a broad spectrum of
topics, including:
- B2B enterprise solutions
- Online newsfeed syndication
- Online learning infrastructure
- Bioinformatics
- Electronic component configuration tools
- Animation and game development tools
I've written installation and configuration manuals, procedural guides, user guides,
reference material and online help, as well as web content and
product literature. In my spare time I'm writing a cookbook for one, and I sometimes edit and proofread English
subtitles for Asian TV dramas.
I see it as my job not just to write accurate, easy-to-follow
procedures, but also to work closely with developers to improve
the software itself. As one of the first people to see a new
product, I'm in an ideal position to spot potential issues early
on.
